Euclastes coahuilaensis
Taxonomy
Euclastes coahuilaensis was named by Brinkman et al. (2009). Its type specimen is CPC 257 (SEPCP 9/721), a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is La Parrita (SEPCP-9), which is in a Campanian marginal marine shale in the Cerro del Pueblo Formation of Mexico.
It was recombined as Mexichelys coahuilaensis by Parham and Pyenson (2010).
