Taxonomy
Arthrorhachis longicollis was named by Raymond (1925). Its type specimen is YPM 13054, a pygidium, and it is a mold.

It was recombined as Geragnostus longicollis by Whittington (1965); it was recombined as Geragnostus (Novoagnostus) longicollis by Fortey et al. (2024).
