Mesochorista proavita
Taxonomy
Mesochorista proavita was named by Tillyard (1916). Its type specimen is GSQI32, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Denmark Hill Insect Bed (Dunstan 1909 collection), which is in a Norian pond siltstone in the Blackstone Formation of Australia.
