Taxonomy
Streblotrypa (Streblotrypa) elongata was named by Gilmour et al. (1997). Its type specimen is USNM 488265 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Murdock Mountain, Stenodiscus Beds, which is in a Wordian offshore wackestone/packstone in the Murdock Mountain Formation of Nevada.
