Taxonomy
Wyndhamia tjuvaevi was named by Manankov (1998). Its type specimen is PIN 4684/3 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dzhirem-Ula Peak, Solonker Horizon, which is in a Capitanian marine horizon in the Solonker Formation of Mongolia.
