Ocepesuchus eoafricanus

Taxonomy
Ocepesuchus eoafricanus was named by Jouve et al. (2008). Its type specimen is OCP DEK-GE 45, a partial skull (Crushed skull, lacking the ventral part and the premaxillae), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Oulad Abdoun Basin, which is in a Maastrichtian marine /limestone in Morocco. It is the type species of Ocepesuchus.

Jouve et al. 2008Prefrontal strongly extended anteriorly, exceeding strongly the anterior extremity of the frontal; interorbital distance very short, only slightly wider than the interfenestral bar; parietal in the interfenestral bar strongly depressed, a strong rim bordering the medial margin of the supratemporal fenestra; posterolateral process of squamosal posterolateraly oriented; posterolateral margin of the squamosal bearing a smooth dorsolateral depression, so a strong squamosal rim borders the lateral margin of the supratemporal fenestra.
