Amblotherium pusillum
Taxonomy
Stylodon pusillus was named by Owen (1866). Its type specimen is BMNH M5632, a mandible (partial left mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mammal Bed, Durlston Bay (DB83), which is in a Berriasian marine horizon in the Lulworth Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Kurtodon pusillus by Osborn (1887), Osborn (1888) and Simpson (1928); it was recombined as Amblotherium pusillum by Owen (1871), Simpson (1928), Kraus (1979) and Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004).
