Taxonomy
Heeria hamyi was named by Brongniart (1894). It is an impression. Its type locality is Commentry (MNHN Brongniart coll), which is in a Gzhelian lacustrine deltaic shale in the Commentry Shales Formation of France.
It was recombined as Goldenbergia (Microdictya) hamyi by Bolton (1917); it was recombined as Microdictya hamyi by Handlirsch (1906), Meunier (1914), Handlirsch (1922) and Kukalová (1970).
