Taxonomy
Trichomyia lengleti was named by Lak et al. (2008). Its type specimen is MNHN BUZ 2.7, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is La Buzinie roadworks amber, Champniers, which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in France.
