Coronacollina acula was named by Clites et al. (2012). It is a mold. Its type locality is Bathtub Gorge, which is in an Ediacaran open shallow subtidal sandstone in the Rawnsley Quartzite Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Coronacollina.
