Epitornoceras mithracoides

Taxonomy
Goniatites (Tornoceras) mithracoides was named by Frech (1902). Its type specimen is MfN MB.C.469 and is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Epitornoceras.

It was recombined as Epitornoceras mithracoides by House (1978), Korn and Klug (2002), House and Kirchgasser (2008), Bockwinkel et al. (2013), Bockwinkel et al. (2013), Bockwinkel et al. (2015) and Bockwinkel and Korn (2015).
