Taxonomy
Dalejina was named by Havlicek (1953) [Sepkoski's age data: O Ashg-u D Eife-u Sepkoski's reference number: 24,25,27,965]. Its type is Dalejina hanusi.

It was assigned to Rhipidomellinae by Bassett and Cocks (1974) and Williams et al. (2000); and to Orthida by Sepkoski (2002).
