It was assigned to Glyptorthinae by Rõõmusoks (1964), Wright (1964), Bassett and Cocks (1974), Mitchell (1977), Wright (1982) and Potter (1990); to Dolerorthinae by Jin and Chatterton (1997); and to Hesperorthidae by Williams et al. (2000) and Rubel (2011).
