Taxonomy
Permochorista nana was named by Martynova (1948). Its type specimen is PIN 117/1509, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Letopala River (PIN collection 117), which is in a Roadian lagoonal siliciclastic in the Iva-Gora Beds Formation of the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Mesochorista nana by Martynova (1948), Willmann (1978) and Novokshonov (1997).
