Taxonomy
Loricula (Myrmericula) ocellata was named by Popov (2006). Its type specimen is BB MP HE-4, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber (Heiss coll, Tiroler Landesmuseum), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
