Taxonomy
Palaeocharinus tuberculatus was named by Fayers et al. (2005). Its type specimen is AUGD12409, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Windyfield farm, Rhynie, which is in a Pragian pond chert in the Dryden Flags Formation of the United Kingdom.
