Taxonomy
Enigmalites roberti was named by Wilson (1982). Its type specimen is UCMP 37263 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP A-7101, McCloud Bridge West, which is in a Wolfcampian marine limestone in the McCloud Limestone Formation of California.
