Taxonomy
Peltabellia lata was named by Zhou and Fortey (1986). Its type specimen is NI80564, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Location 17 Horizon 1, which is in a Tremadoc marine limestone in the Yehli Formation of China.
