Taxonomy
Ectyphoria sinaiensis was named by Feldman et al. (2012). Its type specimen is RGF VR 74/22 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gebel El-Maghara breached anticline, which is in a Bathonian platform/shelf-margin reef wackestone/packstone in the Dhruma Formation of Egypt.
