Taxonomy
Ambopemphigus romani was named by Wegierek (1996). Its type specimen is MZ 5948a, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber (Museum Ziemi collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Poland. It is the type species of Ambopemphigus.
