Taxonomy
Nucleospira subsphaerica was named by Johnson (1970). Its type specimen is USNM 157148 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USNM 10711. In saddle immediately south of "0" in 8081,, which is in an Emsian carbonate limestone in the McColley Canyon Formation of Nevada.
