Aenigmastropheus parringtoni
Taxonomy
Aenigmastropheus parringtoni was named by Ezcurra et al. (2014). Its type specimen is UMZC T836, a partial skeleton (Partial postcranial skeleton including five posterior cervical–anterior dorsal vertebrae, distal half of the right humerus, fragment of probable left humeral sh), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is B35 of Stockley, Ruanda, which is in a Wuchiapingian fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Usili Formation of Tanzania. It is the type species of Aenigmastropheus.
