Taxonomy
Sharpeiceras australe was named by Kennedy (2014). Its type specimen is FGUW 0851, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is VH21, Vohipaly section, which is in a Cenomanian marine mudstone in Madagascar.
