Taxonomy
Yindirtemys shevyrevae was named by Vianey-Liaud et al. (2006). Its type specimen is UTL7-86, a mandible (Left dentary), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ulantatal (UTL7), which is in an Oligocene terrestrial sandstone/siltstone in the Ulantatal Formation of China.
