It was recombined as Luponia spadicea by Gabb (1868); it was recombined as Zonaria spadicea by Valentine (1957); it was recombined as Zoila spadicea by Chace (1966); it was recombined as Zonaria (Neobernaya) spadicea by Groves (1994); it was recombined as Neobernaya spadicea by Schilder (1927) and Hendy (2021).
