Synonyms

Volutocorbis soriensis was named by Eames (1952) [DISTRIBUTION: Early-Middle Eocene; Pakistan.]. Its type specimen is BMNH G.68315, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Fossil Bed F.2679, Zinda Pir, which is in a Ypresian marine shale in the Ghazij Formation of Pakistan.

It was synonymized subjectively with Athleta (Volutocorbis) burtoni by Merle and Pacaud (2014).
Athleta (Volutocorbis) victoriae was named by Vredenburg (1923).
