Taxonomy
Extropharciceras serum was named by Bockwinkel et al. (2015). Its type specimen is MfN MB.C.25105.1, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Butte 760, Ait Out Amar, which is in a Givetian marine shale in Morocco.
