Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
A. D. Gentry et al. 2025Cosmochelys dolloi is unique among dermochelyids due to a ridge morphology with small pointed keels restricted to the center of otherwise flat ossicles. Along with the poorly known A. crassiscutata, Co. dolloi has a deeply sculptured external surface that includes tubercules (Tong et al. 1999).
