Steropodon
Taxonomy
Steropodon was named by Archer et al. (1985). Its type is Steropodon galmani. It is the type genus of Steropodontidae.
It was assigned to Australosphenida by Rauhut et al. (2002), Martin and Rauhut (2005); to Ornithorhynchidae by Archer et al. (1985), Carroll (1988), Rowe et al. (2008); and to Steropodontidae by Flannery et al. (1995), Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004), Poropat et al. (2023).
