It was synonymized subjectively with Apheliscus by McKenna (1980).
It was assigned to Mioclaenidae by Jepsen (1930), Rose (1981) and McKenna and Bell (1997); to Apheliscinae by Archibald (1998) and Zack et al. (2005); and to Apheliscidae by Hooker and Russell (2012).
