Taxonomy
Hungarites crasseplicatus was named by Welter (1922). It is not extant. Its type locality is Nifoekoko, Niki Niki (Block "E" beds), which is in a Spathian carbonate limestone in Indonesia.
It was recombined as Prohungarites crasseplicatus by Spath (1934) and Kummel (1969).
