Tachypleus decheni
Taxonomy
Limulus decheni was named by Zinken (1862). Its type specimen is GIE1863.1a.MLU, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Schortau, near Teuchern, which is in a Priabonian foreshore sandstone in the Borna Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Tachypleus decheni by Lamsdell and McKenzie (2015), Lamsdell (2020) and Bicknell et al. (2021).
