Taxonomy
Viriatellina hercynica was named by Boucek (1964). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zlichov limestone, Svagerka, Nowakia horizon 6, which is in an Emsian carbonate limestone in the Zlichov limestone Formation of the Czech Republic. It is the type species of Viriatellina.
