Plionarctos edensis

Taxonomy
Plionarctos edensis was named by Frick (1926) [genotype]. Its type specimen is AMNH 18115, a maxilla (partial maxilla with partial M1 and complete M2), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Mount Eden, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in the Mt. Eden Formation of California.
