Compsognathus longipes

Taxonomy
Compsognathus longipes was named by Wagner (1861). Its type specimen is BSP ASI 563, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Compsognathus type, Kelheim (BSP), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Ostrom (1981).
