Birbalomys woodi
Taxonomy
Birbalomys woodi was named by Sahni and Khare (1973). Its type specimen is LUVP 15005 1a, a maxilla (sin. with P3-M3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chenpur (LU 1007), which is in a Lutetian terrestrial shale in the Subathu Formation of India. It is the type species of Birbalomys.
