Euomphalus centrifugulus was named by Chapman (1916). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Tropidodiscus centrifugus by Kase and Nishida (1986); it was recombined as Tropidodiscus centrifugulus by Tassell (1977), Tassell (1978), Tassell (1982), Pan and Cook (2003) and Wagner (2023).
