Amphiscapha reedsi
Taxonomy
Straparollus (Euomphalus) reedsi was named by Knight (1934). Its type specimen is YPM 14267, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is SL-1. Headwaters of Feefee Creek, north of Olive St. & west of Lindberg Blvd., 1.5 km northwest of Stratmann (Olivette), which is in a Moscovian offshore shale in the Appanoose Formation of Missouri.
It was recombined as Straparollus (Amphiscapha) reedsi by Yochelson and Saunders (1967); it was recombined as Schizostoma reedsi by Zernetskaya (1967); it was recombined as Amphiscapha reedsi by Kues and Batten (2001) and Wagner (2023).
