Pleurotomaria exquisita was named by Lindström (1884). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Gosseletina exquisita by Perner (1907); it was recombined as Globispira exquisita by Koken and Perner (1925) and Knight (1941); it was recombined as Cataschisma exquisita by Rohr (1988), Wagner (1999), Rohr et al. (2004) and Wagner (2023).
