Taxonomy
Trochus kolmodini was named by Lindström (1884). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Stora Vede, which is in a Sheinwoodian deep subtidal ramp limestone/marl in the Slite Beds Formation of Sweden.
It was recombined as Discordichilus kolmodini by Wagner (1999) and Wagner (2023).
