Sinutropis was named by Perner (1903) [Sepkoski's age data: O Ashg S Prid Sepkoski's reference number: 797]. It is not extant. Its type is Sinutropis esthetica.
It was assigned to Euomphaloidea by Knight et al. (1960); to Euomphalidae by Morris and Cleevely (1981) and Linsley and Kier (1984); and to Euomphalina by Sepkoski (2002).
