Santanachelys gaffneyi
Taxonomy
Santanachelys gaffneyi was named by Hirayama (1998). Its type specimen is THUg1386, a skeleton, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Santana do Cariri (general), which is in an Aptian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal shale in the Romualdo Formation of Brazil.
