Environment/lithology: marine; siliciclastic sediments and carbonate

• "...environment probably subject to low rates of deposition, as suggested by extreme rarity of articulated echinoderms. Low percentage of pyrite and free carbon and absence of laminae indicate reasonable oxygen level. Geographic and stratigraphic relations are consistent with BA 4-5 span."

• "...occur in a fine-grained mudstone-siltstone matrix to find, sand-sized matrix, or they occur in their carbonate equivalents..."

Collection methods: It is not entirely clear that all faunal elements are found together at all localities. Moreover, ostracodes (from Berdan 1960, PBDB ref. 6960) are associated with uncertainty.
