• The Zechstein Limestone is a 20 m thick gray clay shale with clay and dolomite intercalations. It is superimposed by Werra Anhydrite (Lower Anhydrite Ald auth.). In German: Der Zechsteinkalk - ein grauer, bisweilen von Ton- und Dolomitbaenken durchzogener Tonmergel- ist in Rossenray plusminus 20 m maechtig. Er wird er vom Werra-Anhydritt ueberlagert.
