Environment/lithology: reef, buildup or bioherm; lithified bindstone and lithified framestone

• The Tratau Reef Mound is 270 m high and about 1 km in diameter. The total thickness is about 400 m. The Shaktau Reef Mound is 210 m high and 1.3 km in diameter. Reef-core facies are coral framestones, palaeoaplysinid platestones, Archaeolithoporella bindstones, Stromatactis-rich Tubiphytes bindstones and bryozoan bafflestones-cementstones.
