Type specimen: CGM 42848, a mandible (partial left mandible). Its type locality is Quarry V (Jebel Qatrani Formation), which is in a Rupelian fluvial sandstone/mudstone in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt.

Ecology: scansorial herbivore

Distribution:

• Oligocene of Egypt (3 collections)
