Belongs to Blainvillimys according to M. Vianey-Liaud and B. Schmid 2009
Sister taxa: Blainvillimys avus, Blainvillimys blainvillei, Blainvillimys gemellus, Blainvillimys gregarius, Blainvillimys langei, Blainvillimys rotundidens
Type specimen: CHA-2, a mandible. Its type locality is Les Chapelins, which is in a Rupelian terrestrial horizon in France.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution:
• Oligocene of France (8 collections), Germany (1), Spain (1), Switzerland (2)
Total: 12 collections each including a single occurrence
