Belongs to Blainvillimys according to Schlosser 1884
Sister taxa: Blainvillimys avus, Blainvillimys blainvillei, Blainvillimys gemellus, Blainvillimys gregarius, Blainvillimys helmeri, Blainvillimys langei
Type specimen: BSP 1879 XV 508, a mandible. Its type locality is Mouillac, which is in a Rupelian terrestrial phosphorite in the Quercy Phosphorites Formation of France.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution:
