Sister taxa: Yunnanosaurus huangi, Yunnanosaurus robustus

Type specimen: CXMVZA 185, a set of postcrania. Its type locality is Banqing Houshanliangzi, Jiangyi (Fengjiahe Fm.), which is in a Pliensbachian terrestrial sandstone in the Fengjiahe Formation of China.

Ecology:

Distribution: found only at Banqing Houshanliangzi, Jiangyi (Fengjiahe Fm.)
