Type specimens:

  • Bahinolophus birmanicus: GSI C348, a mandible. Its type locality is Thadut, Pondaung Sandstone, which is in a Bartonian terrestrial sandstone/siliciclastic in the Pondaung Formation of Myanmar.
  • Diplolophodon major: Its type locality is Heti Formation F 11, which is in a Sharamurunian terrestrial horizon in the Heti Formation of China.
  • Diplolophodon qufuensis: SDM 84008, a mandible. Its type locality is Dong Huangzhuang, which is in an Eocene terrestrial mudstone/sandstone in the Huangzhuang Formation of China.
  • Diplolophodon similis: Its type locality is Lok. 7, Shang-Ho, Jen-Tsun, Mien-Chih-Hsien, Yuanqu basin, which is in a Sharamurunian terrestrial marl in the Hedi Formation of China.
